Battlefield BC2 looking dam sweet

Ok give it a fair chance after dismissing it yesterday and i bloody love it! Its my first battlefield game and there is sooo much choas going on at all times,

Only problem is im very very bad at this game. I cant keep alive enough to do anything useful. Also doesnt help that the sights on the guns are a bit meh...

I normaly die around 12 times and kill about 9. Im getting there
 
I wasn't too impressed last night but it's really fun when you get into it, and I love all the medals you can get. Love driving on a quad behind enemy lines and knifing all the players on the mounted guns :P.
 
what i dont like is pumping 6-7 shots into someone only for them to open up and kill me with one, so annoying









i am crap at it though lol
 
My gripes so far:

Notoggle crouch or prone
No peak
No Q spotted action menu
Have to click enter battle everytime
FOV sucks for widescreen
No change rate of fire
Mouse weapons selection seems inverted to my mind

Looks fantastic, sounds amazing

getting 48-62 outside and 60-98 indoors FPS at 1680x1050 at max settings 8xAA 16xAF HBAO on with 5870 and rest as in sig :) Will have to turn it down a little to play 5040x1050 but the FOV isnt really suited to it yet.

Right played it lots and lots. The new Nvidia beta drivers seem to have seriously improved performance issues and I'm now totally maxing it out on 1900 by 1200 with 4X AA and AF. Both GPUs of the GTX295 seem to get utilised now. Only thing I'm not using is that HBAO option. It seems to impact FPS too much atm but will no doubt be sorted soon. Further optimisation is clearly on the way and I bet FPS rates sky rocket for everyone soon enough.

I really love it! My old BF1942 sniping skills are coming back. It's all about waiting till you breathe in. When the scope reaches its highest point before you exhale again you fire your shot. It's all about finesse and perfecting those headshots.

Found a very sick position on a roof overlooking the mountain the attack team paradrops onto. Was dishing it out with the M24 then got mortared to hell and back.
 
Just had an awesome squad match with OCUK dr_volki, OCUK <can't remember> and OCUK BaDBoy.UK on Multiplay.co.uk #51 and loved every non-lagging smooth minute of it - it's getting better lads, hold tight!!!

what resolution do you play at?
 
anyone tried piloting the uav yet ? the scout chopper specifically. It seems to just blow up as soon as you try, but i have seen it flying around launching missles at people!
 
Yeah I have, use r to lift off the floor, but it's a pain in the ass to control, cos I invert my flight controls, but with the UAV it's non-inverted, so it's a pain in the ass to fly around.
 
Just got out of a game that had 5 snipers on attacker camping the hill with a medic and an assault healing and reloading them. Utterly pathetic.

I had something similar earlier on, but to complement the gangbang someone decided to take a tank up there and snipe with it.

just go on other team, head to building with the machine gun that has shield around it, and constantly pop at them. they will get annyed and soon move :D
