Someone in a group I'm in sent me a chat request and sent me that. The .t35.com rang alarm bells for me, considering I've seen other users be sent similar links. Just a reminder for you guys. Be vigilant against these fools.

I always click those links the sites you get are pretty much spot on teh same as steam, i like to fill it out with abuse, then i tell him i put my password in and nothing happened lol, that way they will read the abuse. I hope anyway.

I personally wouldn't click a link from a random person like that - especially if they just opened a chat box and sent me one!

Thanks for the heads up anyway, I'm sure there will be a few people that click before they think ;)

Yeah i think you're running a risk just accessing it... never mind entering your details. Think someone said there were people in the OcUK BC2 group that were doing it too.

I have had two people from the BF:BC2 ocuk group try this with me, can the admin of the group lock the group?

People can post on here if they want access.

Those users are likely to be bots or gold farmers expanding their business.

Pretty much. The url sent to me (the bit blanked out) was Steam-Gifter. It's probably just a user that got their account obtained, or an empty account that joined the TFU group.

Cheers for the heads up. I tend to be wary of that sort of stuff anyway, but nice to hear about it.

Theres a facebook one doing the rounds, masquerading as a message/wall post with a link to what appears to be a youtube vid. Next thing you're being asked to download setup.exe

YEah I got this once some guy from the OcUK group started asking for my login and password deals so he could contact steam and get his account re-enabled.

Told him no and he got kind of abusive telling me how bad a person I was just ignored and removed from friends list. Its a good job valve put that message telling people never to give out there password in the chat window probably saved a couple of idiots using this.

Anyone who falls for these links, especially a URL with .tk or .t35 is a very very trusting soul. A guy from another forum got his account stolen from one of these, cause he was stupid enough to fill it out in the off chance it was real. What idiots :)
