hi guys

firefox really seems to be getting slow and bloated now and have been thinking about switching to chrome

whats it like for saftey and stuff i use spyware blaster which protects with firefox but not chrome also use the adblock plus and no script with ff

your thoughts please

I used it for a bit, not enough settings or anything to tweak for me. It's just overall simple.

There are some startup parameters so you can run it without javascript or plugins (flash, java) etc.

Been using Chrome since the moment it hit the net, not had one problem with it, no spyware/viruses at all.

It is even better now there are extensions, adblock e.t.c

I just love the whole clean look of it & the speed also :)

This.

I love it's simplicity and minimalism. It's fast, lightweight and just.....works. What more could you want out of a browser? :)

Chromes extensions support is great now, except for the Element control API which isn't finished yet so you can't stop element of a page (like javascript, flash or pictures) from loading however you can hide them. Webkit as a render engine is without equal, although there are still a ton of sites out there that don't follow the current web standards correctly so you can have some issues with a few sites (facebook is constantly screwing up the way some App's are displayed) and for complex, script heavy sites like any of googles app's, etc Chrome is lightning quick.

It is my preferred browser now.

I don't want to google chrome my thoughts.

I havn't used it yet, sell it to me? :p I'm a avid FF user though.

For everyday browsing, go with Chrome. It's quick, simple and works.

For "saftey and stuff", it depends: if you keep it updated, don't download crap and don't visit dodgy sites, you won't have a problem with it. Same as any other browser.

Remember Apple had no viruses at the start, but as it became popular, it became a competition between nerds worldwide to write a virus for it.

Chrome will have viruses if it becomes popular:(.
