The Official Football Manager 2010 Thread

Tried playing this version more with Southampton. Really struggled to get into it and have gone back to FM2008 and my Hyde United game :( Think I've ruined the series for myself.
 
Taken Udinese to the Champions League final in my second season, managed to beat Man City on away goals in the semi, Wolfsberg 4-3 in the QF and Real Madrid on away goals in the second round! Got AC Milan in the final who I managed to beat 4-1 earlier on in the season some how!

3 games to go in Serie A, 6 points clear of Inter who got annihilated by AC in the last match, my final 3 games are Lazio away, Inter at home and Atalanta away so anything could happen.

my first team is:

So as you can see I've not actually made that many additions to the first team! Albin and Sanchez playing as inside forwards is the key to my team, they cause havoc.
 
Dzeko, Sanchez, Albin, Isla, Zapata and Felipe are world class tbh

Tried signing them all on different occasions for the villains and they wanted silly money :p
 
Btw if anybody wants a world class keeper for literally pennies, search Ochoa, hes mexican.
 
Managing Notts County, guaranteed a play-off spot, but i am 20 points clear so i am going to win League 2. Just got offered a job a Watford. They are 17th in the Championship. Not sure whether to take it or not.

I think i can get to the play-offs next season in League 1 with just a new right back + left winger.

Argghhh. I think i will stay on at Notts to win the League 2 title and then in close season if something comes along in the Championship i may take it.

They really are, I obviously already had Sanchez, Isla, Zapata and Felipe. Albin only cost me 5.5m in the first transfer window and Dzeko was bought in January of this season for 5m up front then 20m over 4 years. A lot but his goals are really worth it.

I have no idea why exactly Isla is good, his stats are pretty poor-average in both attack and defense eyt he plays like a ******* demon. I had to sell D'Agostino to Inter in the first season because he was being moody, since then Isla has been a regular. Still need to decide whether to sign Tissone when his co-ownership runs out.
 
I'm so fed up with the bugs in this game. I just lost 3-2 to AC Milan in the final and got a message that the fans were disappointed.



I lost in the final on my first EVER CL campaign with Udinese and they're disappointed.

They also said that Inler should have played...


Inler that was suspended :rolleyes:
 
Anyone know how to accept an offer as manager and start at the start of a new season? Used to be able to do it but can't seem to find away this time round. Been offered Valencia job but don't want to accept it till new season starts as I'm close to winning the champions league.
 
Can anyone help with this? I started with a league 1 team and wanted to get a better fitness coach, the board said that if i wanted to bring in my own backroom staff i can. So i sack the F.C that they had and went to hire a new one, he accepted but then the board wont hire him as they say i have enough coaches???? I dont want to sack my normal coach i just need a better fitness coach!?


Also anyone have any good sites to where i can get a decent skin with official badges and kits?

so far im quite pleased.

brought in new defensive pair who are so far doing quite well.

1 of 2 new in midfield, im still trying to sign the 2nd.

and a new striker who is 29 but is just a filler till next season when i can spend a bit more on a new striker.

also got sol in as a back up on free.

first couple of matches were getting used to the new tactics but business soon picked up. quite pleased with my first premiership match drawing with arsenal. hopefully i can continue the good results and get a mid table finish :)

next 5 games havent gone too bad, have condeded a few too many goals but my defence is young ( 18 and 22 years old) so hopefully they will get better with time, lucky jason scotland is in form with 6 goals in 5 and 3 assits.

currently 9th in the league after 5 games.

Makes no sence in game this doesnt.
It complains when i have more than 13 coaches.
Yet despite the board having a limit of 3 physios, theyre quite happy to stick with the 19 :-o that Milan start with, and lets me renew their contracts! lol.

Looking on sortitoutsi, there are so many different facebooks, kit, logo's etc.

Does anyone have a specific link to each to use? As in the best one?

i searched for football manager 2010 face pack on torrentz.com and got that, it seems to have all faces teams etc.

Got an excellent logo pack and face pack from FM Base. There are torrents and rapidshare links there I believe. They're pretty hefty in size, but they are worth it!


Just finished my first season as Forest. Found the perfect formation for the team, had a cracking second half to the season and climbed from 13th to 6th. Stormed through the play offs and now I'm in the premiership :D. Just signed Geremi, Boa Morte and an Italian Gk for free but I'm desperately looking for a decent striker to replace Viduka.
Can anyone let me know what key stats I should be looking for, for a lone striker. Initially i'm guessing finishing, composure, work rate, pace & off the ball. Any others I should be looking for???
 
knocked out man utd in the league cup with a 1-0 victory and just drew with liverpool 1-1, was leading through a rodallega strike then they got a dubious penalty to equalise, wigan were all over them but only got the 1 goal :/
