Leather trimming?

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting the centre console and potentially the lower dash area of the car trimmed in leather.

Before I embarrass myself by calling into some places only to be shocked at the sort of prices involved how much would you consider reasonable for this sort of work?

TY :)

Basically there was an obscenely rare factory option called 'Extended Leather'. This trimmed the lower half of the dashboard beneath the aluminium trim and the sides of the centre console in padded leather.

I want this and have given up trawling Ebay for 2 years for the centre console out of an M5 (Which had the leather console but not the extended leather as standard).

Just need some ballpark figures, if its going to be £300+ then I can't be bothered.

if nobody else can give you an answer, give them a ring in the morning and they'll be able to give you a figure

they can leather trim anything, furniture etc.. so a piece of dashboard wouldnt be a problem.

but based on the prices the people on the VXR forums paid to transform half leather to full leather (upwards of 3 grand) i can easily see a piece of dashboard being over £300.

I would have thought there would be a noticeable difference in price if you remove the lower dash and console yourself. Flock it instead, Juha.

What's the attraction to this for you fox? If what you're talking about is the colour matching dash to the rest of the interior, then it seems like a bit of a waste to replace your black soft touch dash with black padded leather.

Just putting this in here purely for the turn on.

Are the dash lowers the same as the E53? That might be an easier way. Mine has the leather lowers and my car is by no means top spec.
