i only get it when overclocking the ram on 1 of my cards past 1280, if they bump up the ram voltage a little maybe that will sort it out![]()
I've downloaded this an am currently doing a stability test using FurMark.
I think they must have upped the voltages or something because it is now running 10% hotter than before, but it seems to be stable so far. Time will tell.
Cripple.
How many people in general are getting these crashes, seems a lot.
Fortunately my 5870 has had no problems and I've been gaming quite a bit over the last few weeks, but this issue doesn't inspire much confidence. Is it something that appears as soon as you install the card or has it developed gradually?
i've had my 5850 since on release , this issue happens randomly, never when gaming tho.Fortunately my 5870 has had no problems and I've been gaming quite a bit over the last few weeks, but this issue doesn't inspire much confidence. Nice to see they've finally fixed (or attempted to fix) this issue.
What's disgraceful is that the timing of this means it's almost certainly a response to the criticism of their drivers in a recent Tom's Hardware article and that it took this to actually make them do something about it.
