Burn In Hell?

I'd like to backup my mp3 files to a DVD disc. My operating system is WIN XP Home edition.

Am I able to do this with "Easy CD Creator and Direct CD - Standard Edition"?

(Please don't tell me the answer is in the question 'cuz I'm only a country boy).

If NOT is there any simple to use FREE DVD burning software someone could recommend?

I do have a DVD burner and DVD ROM in my computer, so I'm half way there. The Easy CD Creator came with my laptop some years ago.....

Also I'll need to buy some kind of DVD media could someone also tell me what would be the best type to buy? All these + and minuses are beyond me.

Also, in regards to the DVD's to use, I'd imagine your drive will support both +/- formats, haven't come across a drive that doesn't support both in a long while. Make sure you get discs from a good name. I normally go for Verbatim and have never had a problem. Anything from here or here should do fine.
