Is Farcry2 worth a look?

Just seen it on steam going quite cheap @ £7.49 any good?

It is good in some ways and terrible in others.
It is nothing like Farcry 1.

I somewhat liked it, but there is no doubt in saying it is poor compared to the original.

I wouldn't pay £7.49 for it myself, thought it was one of the poorest games I'd played in a long time.

If you want to give it a go, do what I did and find a friend who will let you play it for an hour or two before you decide to buy it.

Alright game. Good graphics but the fire always burnt out far too quickly for my liking.

I quite liked it for a while.

I was willing to put up with the superfast respawns (ARGH!!!), and even the slight monotony of the game.

It does look beautiful with the right hardware, and there are some good things about it, but overall it wasn't great.

^ me too. Did most of the first map though, but got a bit fed up. There are some great things in Far Cry 2...somewhere.

They mucked up with the pricing as based upon the quality of the game, it is FC1 that should be £7.49 and FC2 £2.49.

Got bored after a few hours playing it, the constant respawning and repetitive missions were a bit annoying, though the visuals in it were great.

Indeed, the problem was the actual game design.

goodness me, its not that bad! i admit it wasnt brilliant, the respawns at every check point got, irritating. But if nothing else is about its a lot better than some other games about, just it not comparable to FC1!
