Thanks, I live in the Peak district, you should see the view out of the back of the house!

I can see most of this every day, this is about 5 miles closer to it though, tis called kinder scout

That looks very much like the view of Kinder downfall (just off to the left of the picture) taken from what appears to be the middle of Kinder resevoir.

Been up there well over a hundred times, in all conditions, and even driven my Landy up the eastern flanks on occasion.

I'm guessing you must live in Hayfeild area?

You could be right dude, I've only been up there about 3 times myself. :D

I live just down the road from Hayfield aye! our house looks straight up the valley and over hayfield though so we get a good view. :P

wherever it is, you would never get bored, you could go boarding in the mountains or fishing, god the possibilities are endless !!!

I used to ride cross country mountain biking a lot, there's so much on our doorstep it's unreal! Loads of people I know are hikers and all that boring stuff aswell... :P

boring stuff.....BORING STUFF!!!

Get your ass up that mountain in extreme conditions and then tell me you're bored (if you make it back of course).

Did you know there are dozens of aircraft wrecks on Kinder?
From memory, a Lancaster Bomber, a Liberator and 2 shooting stars (they collided with each other over Kinder Plateau).

Extreme weather conditions?! Those are the times to be indoors having a pyjarma day drinking hot chocolate, not walking up a big mountain. :D

Yeh I have read something about them once, i've seen pictures but never been up that far I don't think.

I always used to stick to round here, 15-20 mile rides seemed to suit me best. :P

There's loads of people from round here! One guy from Macclesfield, and Project Angel is going on just up the road. :P
