Steam account hacked

Make sure you get your e-mail address verified when you get it back so they can't change the password without access to your email.
 
Same thing happened to me :( Luckily it only took a day to get my account back as I had solid proof that it was my account (reciepts from paypal ect). I have another account and went on that to talk to the hacker and he tried to convince me the only way to get my account back was to get 5 other accounts hacked. ****** :mad:
 
I don't give anyone my steam account name/pass word who I don't know, don't care if its for a community you can see it anyways xD


oh dear i didn't keep the reciepts for my games, but they are hard copy from
 
offered 3 free games, the keys from the game boxes are needed as are photographs of them, Support also asked for the card details I used to purchase games on steam
 
Buy a really cheap game now, then another in a few weeks, another in a few months. If they're all on your card, they can't argue much if you can verify the card.

Also, stop giving out your password >_<
 
people are way too trusting of people they meet on the internet. it scares me.

you gotta give the user name so people can add on as friends I should edit that :( :p might get away with display name although loads of people might have the same name as you oddly

Also don't steam say, they will never ask for your password via PM/email whatever?
