Hello all, just a quick question really.....

I've got an 8gb iPod touch atm and i'm kinda wishing i'd bought a bigger size one as it can't hold a great deal of music and video when I try to lol!

So i'm just wondering if there is any way I can get iTunes to automatically convert my audio to like 128kbit audio from 320kbit to save space on the device.

Or is it just a case of I have to them all at the 128kbit before I put them into the iPod?

Change your import settings to 128kbs, and then highlight every song you want changed then right click and transcode in iTunes. You will now have two copies!

The shuffle allows automatically transcoding to 128. (But does it fresh every-time - making for some long load times!)

If only iTunes was open source, that option could be available across the board and you could store your library in lossless to be transcoded to lossy for any type of iPod.
