Question about adding SSD boot drive

One more thing... :D

Does anyone know if it's possible to have Steam and some of its games installed on the SSD and also install other games on the HDD?

I play L4D2 quite a lot, so would like to have that running from the SSD, but I also play a couple of other games sometimes and they're too big to fit on my 30Gb SSD as well. Could I put their data on my HDD? Or would I need to run a second copy of Steam on my HDD with my non-L4D2 games?

At the moment I do not believe Steam supports multiple hard drives, you install Steam to one drive then all your games get dumped in there.

There seems to be a way to link to another location (you dump a copy of your games on another disc, then delete the original files and create a link so that Steam still thinks it's all in one place) but this looked VERY long winded, and not an ideal solution at all.

Yeh that's a bit of a pain, perhaps symbolic links may work.
Perhaps add another Vertex later on if you get any spare change and prices come down or maybe get a single x25-m for games?

Note:
Some games like COD load up 5 or 6x faster on SSD but not all games... Some games may load up only twice as fast.

Thanks, guys - that's pretty much what I thought.
I suppose I'll just have to learn to live with the 40+ second wait for some games to start... :p
