BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

Game could be epic fun in a decent group! Kind of lame playing it on your own.
Anyone finding the shooting really annoying - sometimes just doesn't seem to register bullets, can unload into someone and nothing, and other times just a couple of shots (no its not headshots etc).
 
Adjust your FOV and use it in fullscreen mode

I've seen pictures and videos but no step by step on how to do this so maybe this might help some out.

This will only work if you're using DVI or HDMI "digital" monitor connection, not VGA.

Start by creating a custom resolution in the graphic drivers settings.



I played around with a few settings, I don't like the extreme widescreen but just a little extra eyeball space on the sides is nice and doesn't make the letterbox too extreme.

1920x984 is pretty decent for me anyway, gives about a 70 fov (just a guess).

The trick to getting letterbox to work fullscreen is you have to resize your desktop, shrink it down to the 984 height in the control panel so you get a 1:1 pixel representation of your custom resolution.

note: I'm using HDMI, you may only see something completely different here if you're using DVI.


then I edit the settings.ini file (\My Documents\BFBC2Beta)

Width=1920
Height=984
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=60

set your desktop to your custom res and then launch the game.

I did mine at around 6.30 p.m the other night. I work nights and start at 10.00 p.m, the key was in my inbox within a few hours.

You need to download the Beta from www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/beta

I used the Killercreation link which maxed out my connection, there are loads of download links on the right hand side of the link I posted. Once downloaded and installed, you enter the key they provide and that's that.

Been over 5 hours now. not got anything yet code yet :(
All downloaded and ready to go..
