2011 M3

It is a little on the bland side but change the colour and I could live with it. But those mirrors, they are freaky and I can’t stand them.

Lowness + tight fitment = cool car.

I don't see much new look to it other than carbon, but I'm not a beamer boy..

'Facelift' aside, who else other than die hard bmw fans would know the difference between old and new?

It's similar to the 3 Coupe facelift, so new mirrors, new front and rear lights really.

A facelift is never a new car.

I dont see the point of 19" rims, just make the car smaller so that it wide 17s feel at home (much like the E36 M3 was) - and the ride height is still too high imo

Not my cup of tea, i honestly dont see how they can even equal the E46 M3, iin my opinion it is one of the most attractive cars ever made.

Is the stop/start thing standard ?

if so I hope it can be turned off as I cars I have driven with it have been awful ( ok they were awful cars anyway but thiis made them worse )

i will endeavour to own one of these at some point in my life.

either that or an E60 M5.

that glory of that 4.0 V8 revving to over 8000rpm has to be sampled before all the petrol on earth has run out !

You can turn it off but I dont see why you'd want to, once you get used to it, its great.

Is stop/start even noticable?

It was on the diesel e90 i had as a loan car/courtesy car whilst my car was in for repair. The engine cut out all of a sudden you didnt have the faint rumble/vibration of a diesel. Foot on the clutch and the engine comes back to life.

I have only driven about 7 days in total with this feature and really couldn't get used to it

Was reading a mag recently and they tested a car with and without it and the fuel consumption was worse with it on

Definitely, gotta get me some V8 roar...

Is there an E90 M3 CSL in the pipeline?

Cosmetic changes on this really don't do it for me either.

Dumbo anyone?

With this stop start thing I guess it must start the car up again using the starter motor ?? Surely this puts a huge strain on the battery constantly stop starting all the time ?
