Has anyone played the original + core contingency? I've played an 8v8 game on the map that is designed to look like the map of the world. 5 hours into the game, I was still enjoying it. Up until my commander got owned. The whole game took about 5hours and 30minutes.

I miss the good old Lan-party days. Total Annihilation, Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament.

What is your perfect Lan-party PC game lineup?

I'm still trying to beat the Krogoth encounter >.<

I beat it when it first came out but now I just keep getting owned! It's all the fault of one of the mods I'm running which makes the krogoth more on par with the Karganeth... ouchie :(

Lan party:
TA, CPMA, UT :)

Still got it so far as I know and It was a sweet Lan Game But the originalLAN lineup for me was:

Unreal(Before all of that Tournament Nonsense)

Counterstrike

TA (obviously)

Worms

and there are more just my memory is letting me down!

i wish TA was free for download like C&C is starting to be now.

i used to love TA, it was well ahead of its time when it was released i think back in 97. spent hours on it!

I always got my ass handed to me on that mission >< I could hold off a few Krogoth but sooner or later i'd get overwhelmed.

Starcraft, TA, Quake & Dark Forces. Also Worms & Bomberman, and a SNES with 3 controls and an imported Seiken Densetsu 3 in the corner, and for the only computer in the old IT room not connected to anything, a game called Spoon that a friend a few years above us wrote in basic. I forget exactly what sort of games it cloned, but it was basically a continuous line/snake style game, with 8 players (on a single keyboard) and random powerups for flashy colours, reverse controls, player shuffle and a fantastic 'kamikaze', where your snake automatically seeks out the head of the nearest snake and explodes on contact. Getting on the good side of that fat slug of an IT teacher was totally worth it.

Eh, Starcraft is not nearly as good as TA =D

Thinks this should be put to the test. Of course, with cross-platform gaming still a distant chance for mainstream interaction, it's unlikely we'll see how the Protoss fare against the Big Bertha any time soon. Still, one can dream.

I'd like to see who would be victorious, Zerg Rush or Peewee Rush

Been playing this a lot again lately on my laptop

Will stick it on my netbook and bring a mini mouse next time i fly somewhere as well i think... :D
