9/11 Third Tower mystery "solved".

I always thought the "Hijacked plane re-taken by passengers and then crashed before it reached the target" story was a little suspect. We would never accept "shot down by the government for the greater good".

Wouldn't we? Why not? There is documented evidence that after the towers were hit the order was given to allow aircraft to be shot down.
 
It has long been proved that the hijacked plane was not re-taken by the passengers and crashed before it reached the target.

The hijackers crashed it themselves before the passengers were able to enter the cockpit:

On United Airlines Flight 93, black box recordings revealed that crew and passengers attempted to seize control of the plane from the hijackers after learning through phone calls that similarly hijacked planes had been crashed into buildings that morning.

According to the transcript of Flight 93's recorder, one of the hijackers gave the order to roll the plane once it became evident that they would lose control of the plane to the passengers. Soon afterward, the aircraft crashed into a field near Shanksville in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, at 10:03:11 a.m. local time (14:03:11 UTC).​

And that's taking the huge leap that they are all genuine.

I love the fact that the US govt undeniably bumbles from one mismanaged crisis to another yet some people still believe they are capable of perpatrating the greatest cover up of all time. :D

These threads never fail to entertain and amaze. I don't know which of the crackpot theories to believe. Fake TV footage of planes that were infact missiles hitting both the towers, which were infact brought down by controlled demolition using nano thermite? The lack of any plane wreckage at the Pentagon even though its clearly visible in numerous photographs posted on here? No damage to the third tower even though there are photos of quite severe damage on the south west corner of the building? The constant picking that small things don't add-up in the official story of events, yet the gaping flaws in there own arguments is not an issue?

By all means be welcome to your beliefs on what happened on 9/11. I personally find it awfully difficult to believe that not only were both of the towers rigged with explosives but that all the rigging for the explosives and explosives themselves managed to survive a high speed impact from a large and heavy passenger airliner laden with aviation fuel without being destroyed or prematurely set off. The scope of the engineering boggles the mind!
 
The only things that even remotely make me want to listen to the CT nuts are:

-The fact the towers were economically unsound
-Some owner or other getting them both insured seperately before the event
-The things that were lost in Tower 7 and the people based there.


Theres no hard proof around the CT theories though, I think it was real for now.
(My only sources of info on the subject comes from the nutters at work - no point searching the web for it - search is always biased to the CT nuts)


Edit: anyone got any refereces for the above (true/untrue?)

Doubt it. In my experience, the 'truthers' always exaggerate, misrepresent and misquote. I'm afraid I am bundling you in the same group, so assuming you set out the purposely exaggerate. Sorry :(

I just find it amusing that people always talk with such conviction when they might not be qualified to do so.

There is a difference between saying 'I find the allegation that there is a conspiracy implausible' and 'it is factual that there was nothing wrong with how the towers collapsed - it was perfectly normal'. A day or two on the internet makes nobody an expert.

LOL! From the moment I saw this guys first post, in the back of my head there was a little voice saying, 'I bet he even thinks the lunar landings were fake'... And then a few posts later I was proved right.

Groen, sorry, but you are a prize dooooofus. You going out of your way to find hokum that backs up your daft opinion, and then ignore any sort of sensible or logical stuff that doesn't.

Seriously, anyone who thinks the lunar landings were faked deserves not to contribute to the gene pool!
