Think am going to cry

Fwaa I feel your pain mate, just the other week my cat came running in and jumped on my tv cabinet only to see my 32" start to wobble like crazy luckily managed to stop it in time don't think I've ever got up so fast in my life :P

Dark, stop looking so hard at specs. Your old Asus was probably ok at best. Just grab a new cheap one, it'll be just as "good".

3000:1 is better the 20,000:1 even ocuk have said that my asus old as it was, is better then any of the ones ive looked at and i would need to spend over 400 to get the same quality. and thats from them.

That's hillarious. Your old monitor was a bog standard TN, nothing to right home about except to say "mum i bought an ok monitor, it's not totally rubbish I suppose".

I sympathise with your pain but what others are saying is true. Any old 24" would be better.

Maybe OCUK want you to spend 400 squid? Either way, if your benchmark for epectation is set as low as you previous screen you're going to love that 25.5" Asus you linked to.

Do you claim on your car insurance for every little bump and scrape?

Claiming on home contents insurance is far less hassle and less harsh on increased premiums.

A few years ago I managed to sit on my laptop while it was on the bed and completely knackered it, a quick phone call to the insurance co. and they gave me a choice of (brand new) replacement in case it couldn't be repaired, sent someone to pick it up the following day and within a further 48 hours had the new replacement to me.

This never affected my paltry £11 a month premium either.

Well youres ant much better. 6ms BLAH

lol, are you seriously suggesting that my 24" H-IPS panel isn't as good as your old and frankly terrible TN panel because I have 6ms response time.

You know less than zero about monitors. I suggest you get the 24" BenQ LED monitor and be done with it.

You're right, Am out of touch with monitors. I have a budget of up to 300. would like 24/26'' 1920/1200. and with regards to the playing football. ask the misses why she wasn't watching them while i was walking the dog.
