AMAZING LOGITECH G11 GAMING KEYBOARD DEAL

just bought one, time to let my logitech elite keyboard rip it has served me very well :) 6 years and many spills later and its still alive and kicking! 2 quid well spent <3

I'm thinking about getting one of these for general office work also a small amount of gaming -- do people generally think that this would be a good choice?

Yes. This is a great keyboard for general typing tasks, the keys are big enough.

I've just got a G15 Rev2 from a Rev1, and the keys on the Rev2 seem to be a bit small, and I'm making more spelling mistakes.

The G15 Rev1 was in my opinion one of the best gaming keyboards out there.

The G15 Rev2 and G19 are pretty pants.

Got mine today (mrs missed it yesturday :() Really pleased loving the backlight on low. The volume dial is great too, my old generic keyboard just had buttons and the 'jumps' up and down in volume were quite big but with this it's great. Does anyone not use the rest?

Much more comfy with the rest. I used to hate using any kind of wrist rest prior to this board.

I have the V1 G15, which is basically this without the screen, and have never used the rest. Mostly because it wouldn't have fit on my old desk with it, then when I got a new desk I'd forgotten about the rest, and don't have a clue where it is. Is it really worth finding?

I'd say yes.

I know :p
Still, you've gotta laugh.

It's a shame because you can see it is a very decent keyboard that looks like it is good quality. Even though i know it is bad luck, i am now thinking that maybe spending a bit extra and going for a Razer or Roccat one may have been a better option. Which is shocking considering how much more reliable Logitech keyboards are in comparison to Razer ones (from the horror stories i have read).

Will wait to see what OcUK say tomorrow about it in the RMA thread i have open.

Also, it isn't as big as i was made to believe. To me it is the perfect size. Nice enough to not worry that you will break it, which is more than i can say for the tiny Logitech one i had before.

Received mine on Tuesday.

Got 6 keybinds set up at the moment, I just need to think of ways to use the other 48!

Heh, I know the issue! I've got the whole second bank saved for WoW, but the other two are pretty empty. I used to use a couple for EVE, since using the logitech software you could set up some pretty nifty macros, so I had one set up for activating all the shield and armour rechargers and shielding, and another for firing all my weapons, tractor beam and energy drainer. Other than that, its just small key combos I find myself sometimes needing when I'm lazy, like ctrl+shift+esc.
