Paintball

i remember when i went a few years with a bunch of the lads and one of them dropped all his paintballs and they all splattered on the floor apart from maybe 20 or so, laughed our heads of as he had to queue up again for about 5 minutes :D

That's how they make their money mate.

I understand its how they make their money. Only charging £10 for the day. But is it really necessary to charge £7 for 100 balls?

£4 for 100 would be a lot better. That way everyone gets loads of balls and they make a tidy profit too. I think they are jsut being greedy £35 for 1000 and they would still make loads of dosh. They can get them it at probably £10 for 2000

Screw them, when i go next time im doing like some of my mates did years ago and taking my own

I've never seen a dropped pellet break. If they were that fragile they'd never survive insode the hopper.

If you don't like their rules then don't go.

It's the moisture that ruins the paintballs, not the drop on the ground.

My hopper came open due to being loose and they went all over the floor when i played in one game. I sat there scooping them up and putting back into the gun in the mud as i was getting peppered

So you reuse dropped paint and want to take your own anyway?
You strike me as exactly the kind of person who makes it harder for everyone else to find a decent site and fair opponents.
Given you've been, you have been told why you shouldn't use dropped paint?

Basically, yes. So unless you happen to have bought 1000 of the same colour that they are using that day you are pretty much out of luck.

You take your pick of sites. Some charge more per day and less per paintball, others almost free entry and a lot for your paintballs.

The site we use near us is free with a free lunch included however paintballs are £6 per 100 as well. However you can buy a full box for of 2000 for £80 which makes them only £4 per 100.

All we do is buy full boxes and dish them up between each other.

However, at least the cost of the paintballs stop people been trigger happy.

However, I once went with my boss and he still blew £300 on the day!

£7 dropped on the floor due to a knackered hopper. It i had dropped them by mistake it would be my fault, so fair enough, but it wasnt. I never heard them say anything about using dropped paint. I'm sure a few people were doing it throughout the day

This sounds fair. Delta Force charge £10 each in, no free lunch and £7 per 100

Why did you buy them in 100 lots?
For normall paintballing games you wont be allowed to use your own paintballs. However they will have boxes of 2000 you can buy which works out much cheaper.

Really depends if they use quality balls though, 2000 balls for £20 on ebay yeah, but are these some crappy chinese knockoffs that'll explode in the barrel and jam your gun up every few shots.

£30-£40 for 2000 is usually about right. These places do have to make their money somewhere.

Why airsoft is more badass, more realistic and cheaper on shots.

I guarantee that it will have been explained. Most likely you just weren't listening to the safety briefing.
If it was a knackered hopper then you would have been able to complain and get another hopper with fresh paint from the site.
