hmm im not sure about that.

Why?

Agnosticism is saying you can't tell for sure if there is or isn't a god.

So saying there definitely is a god is the same as saying there definitely is not as far as it's concerned.

I've put down athiest but I don't know now. I don't believe in anything; no god, no afterlife, no eternal suffering for "sins". So am I an athiest?

It depends, do you believe there is nothing or do you just not believe in anything? It sounds like semantics but it's an important distinction if you want to classify yourself correctly - it may not however be important in any real sense.

If you believe that there is no god then you'd be an atheist (weak or strong), if you take the stance that you don't know then you would be better described as an agnostic.

For myself I'm an apathetic agnostic, I don't know if there is a god and don't much care - until and unless a god impacts on my life in some discernable way the question is moot except as a point of interest in debates from time to time.

i think agnostiscm is sitting on the fence. i believe that the way that we understand the universe now suggests that there is no god. however if there was evidence to the contrary (second coming proven miracles) i would change my tune. i think thats how all aethists are, more of a scientific approach to it i dont believe we have ironclad belief like religious do.

Where is the Flying Spaghetti monster? Our true God.

It does no such thing. (It does however disprove many things written in religious books/text but not agaisnt a "god" unrelated to a religion with texts.)

Then you are shoehorning "science" into a task it is not designed nor capable to do.

ffs fine we'll ask.

What are your beliefs then.

My guess is some bs pile of "spiritualism" you thought up while drunk.

lol no im not mentally delusional, i retract my statement, ive decided apathetic agnosticism describes my beliefs quite well, so gonna stick with that, apologies for any above retardation.

Agnosticism is sitting on the fence only in that you're not taking a position on an untestable hypothesis - we have no test for (a) god so how can we state with certainty whether they do or do not exist?

If you want to believe that no god exists (i.e. you're an atheist) then that's fine but it's a position of faith, very similar to the point of believing in a god. However let's be clear on this there is absolutely nothing wrong with having faith in something or in nothing, it's just that a lot of atheists seem determined to claim that their position does not rely on faith and that they are somehow different from those who believe in a religion.

ill go with quoting the impossible to disprove a negative, someones put up the flying spaghetti monster. you cant prove hes not there, but life suggests hes probably not.
as to the science not being able to deal with it, thats such crap (without sounding like im flaming). why cant sciene deal with it?
if god did exist then he would become a part of tangible science, just like if something is proved to be of medical benift it becomes medicine.
even if we science cannot explain it it still struggles to understand it, all you have to do is look at quantum physics! that makes no sense at all but still try to understand it
