History would suggest otherwise. Your particular brand of Christianity may decide that Catholics (and probably a few other Christian denominations) are not Christians but really they are. In fact, your church is derived from Catholicism unless it is one of the very few that have been around since before Nicea.

However, Pascal's Wager is interesting:

Pascal's wager only really works if the choice were No God, A specific God. However as there are lots of Gods and some of them quite jealous you could still get it horribly wrong.

As to the poll, agnostic. I believe in no gods but could not say with any certainty that some form of diety does not exist. If it does, I do not however believe it will be the Abrahamic god in any of his forms.

Why is Paganism always demoted to other? That really grinds my gears.

I wonder what would happen if Islam was demoted to other. :)

Yes I'm a Pagan. ;)

I'm atheist in the sense that I find the concept of a God as described in the Abrahamic religions so utterly ridiculous and unlikely that I can dismiss it as trivially as other mythical beings - I certainly don't carry around a mirror and a chicken everywhere on the off chance I may encounter a basilisk at any rate.

Agnostic. I doubt there is a 'god', but I have yet to see proof either way, and until I do I will remain open to either argument. Although I personally have no need or desire to believe in a higher power or afterlife etc.

You're a christian once you are christened. An unchristened catholic is not christian. An unchristened person should not recieve blood\body of christ, that is for christians. They would only recieve a blessing during the time everyone else gets communion

I was christened...But I'm agnostic. I grew up going to church with my very religious mother. but then realised later in life that i felt the whole thing was a waste of my time. I went to sunday school every sunday from a young age till i was 16, Oh the fun!

"Atheist" is not a religion and neither is "agnostic" or "Jedi."

Because it's not a religion. It's a belief subset into which certain religions fall. You can have a pagan religion, but "pagan" is not a religion.

Anyway, modern pagans usually know little or nothing about true paganism; they just follow whatever random junk they've found on the internet. If you want true paganism, start worshipping the Roman gods and do it properly, with incense and sacrifices.
