Grand jury indicts Dr. Earl Bradley in rapes of 103 child patients

So a police marksman who shots a hostage taker before he can take a life is immoral?

Surely the difference here is that in doing so he is doing it to save potential loss of life from the hostage taker whilst executing this man (or in deed any of the other lovely "moral" tortures and treatments being wished upon him) would not in make any real difference to the crimes he has commited?

If everyone treated everyone else the way people treated them, for example, if someone poked my eye out, and i poked their eye out in return, nothing good would come of it.

Lets kill everyone who commits a horrible crime, which makes us as bad as them.

People would think twice about poking a second person in the eye though :p

Because someone poking your eye out and you poking theirs out is remotely comparable to some guy raping 103 children.

Let some animals rape him for a couple of years then kill him.

I'd put my CV in for the job to get rid of people like this. I'd sleep at night. ;)

He should be beaten to within an inch of his life then allowed to recover... Rinse and repeat 103 times.

I don't care if it sounds barbaric, it is, and so is raping 103 children.

An eye for an eye.

You know I used to find it hard to beleive that people used to make a day if it watching a hanging or a beheading in days gone by, I think sometimes I make the mistake of thinking on the whole we've actually evolved past our barbaric nature but seeing some of the replies in this thread really brings me back into reality, sad as it may be probably a majority of people in society today would still love to see people hang or be tortured for such crimes and would most probably actually enjoy it as if it was a form of entertainment, perhaps we should bring back public executions, at least then our Sundays would be entertaining, we can all watch after we've had the morning service

I find it sad that people like you are effectively defending these people.

What if it was your child he molested and ruined their life, would you feel the same?

We need punishments that fit the crime, people re-offend all the time because there's no consequences.

I don't have any children so it would be hard for me to judge what my opinion would be, of course I would be angry, I'm not well enough equipped to deal with something like that without it, I wish I was, I think ultimately though I'd still not want that person to die, or at the very least I aspire to have that kind of nature or mentality, what I beleive is true in my heart, my moral compass so to speak, is very very important to me, I will always try my hardest to not let my emotional state have a detrimental effect on the bearing of that compass.

I'd support it if it meant they confiscated your bloody soapbox to build it.

You can have it back now.
