Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2?

Dragon Age is much more, for want of a better word, "traditional" rpg, in that you get an inventory and upgrade your armor and weapons etc constantly. That and the leveling up has a lot more to it.
Mass Effect 2, is much more of an all out Action RPG. Very little in the way of inventory, and you don't REALLY upgrade your guns and armor in the normal sense.
Both have great story lines (Personally I would say Mass Effect has the better story, but you would ideally want ME 1 first)
End of the day I would say, what do you prefer, fantasy, or Sci Fi, and make your decision on that.

Theyre two very different games. Dragon age is a World of warcraft style RPG, whereas Mass effect could be described as a 'space opera' if you're feeling pompous. Theyre both great games, so it would be personal preference.
One suggestion: play Mass effect 1 through first to get a handle on the game, mass effect 2 is a lot better when you know some of the stuff

If i had to choose between them i would go with Dragon Age

I didn't enjoy DA that much, mainly because I was appalling at it.
I think ME1 was better in terms of story than ME2 but a fair margin, everything else was better in 2 though, well nearly everything.

Yup, but then I'm biased toward ME1/2.Play ME1, then ME2, then Dragon Age.
