I don't think anyone thinks you're making it up :)

But I can't say I noticed any screen tearing in my entire playthrough of Heavy Rain, nor the half that I've played again in the second playthrough. Guessing it must be down to my TV maybe (although thinking about it, I've played it on 2 different TVs!) or a setting perhaps. Whatever it is causing it, I'm glad it's not causing it for me :D
 
Good lord... just let mate have a go on it as he poped over. He said "it looks really dark", I concur'd so we used the in-game gamma tuner and my brightness was miles off. Heres me thinking it was meant to be near pitch black and played the whole demo like that... I thought the crime scene part was a bit hard :rolleyes:

Hahah :D My first play through on the crime scene was also darkish :p Had to change the settings slightly :p
 
Mein copy ist here! Awesome, just downloading the patch which is a PRE-INSTALL patch (226mb)!

Pics of my swan to come as soon as I work out how to make it, I'm guessing the instructions come up during the install! Will post feedback on screen tearing etc once I'm in :)
 
Yes you can cancel but you can't install until you patch as it's a pre-install patch. The origami is timed perfectly, just as you finish the swan the install finishes.

Anyways onto the game, install complete!

I advise you guys stay away from gaming news comments sections until you've completed it at least once. Some absolute ****ing ***** has gone round and spammed spoilers *everywhere*. I'm hoping it's just nonsense, but they've revealed the killer :(

Worst part is that the news story wasn't even about HR!

Bad times! Thanks for the warning - I'm not watching any heavy rain videos until release at the moment so I'll also steer clear of news reports :p
 
Regarding the patch, the demo was seriously bugged, there were several showstopper bugs in it that completely crashed / ruined the game if you did certain things, maybe it was to fix those.

During the crime scene part for example if you went to a certain place the screen went completely black and played a continous sound at maximum volume, not very pleasant.

I had the crime scene bug... MY GOD I havent jumped so high, I was proper into the scene and that happened! :eek:

Yeah, it shows you how to do it while it installs. Instructions are quite simple and easy to follow, and I can't tell you where I got it from since it's probably a competitor but it should be easy enough to find out :p
