It sounds like the maps are a free addition so hopefully that will help people 'make the move' to the extra maps.

Valparaiso - A + B (Rush)
Isla Inocentes - A + B (Rush)
Atacama Desert - A + B (Conquest)
Arica Harbour - A + B (Rush)
White Pass - A + B (Conquest)
Laguna Presa - A + B (Rush) + C (Conquest)
Port Valdez - A + B (Rush) + C (Conquest)
 
Not really hugely fussed on the map front tbh, they could release 1000 and most servers would end up playing one of them 24/7 anyway. Plus sounds like they're adopting the Relic map strategy of release few, update with free new ones built based upon feedback.

Also for those suffering from disconnects, there might be a new client patch inc before beta is out with a fix for it.

the gist:

VIP CODE in the box for STORE ACCESS.
the store is to negate console second hand market as the vip code is assigned to the account. U can buy a code if u get this game second hand.

DAY 1+future FREE MAP DLC.
Reports are karkand on day 1. with ALL maps free to keep the players together. Store PDLC will be skins and Costume customization. NO GUNS OR PERKS as this would imbalance the game.

Fantastic news :)

..though now I'm imagining things like clown costumes, batman and robin on a quad, and some ninja penguins rushing the MCOM!
 
That reminds me of one major gripe, the player models all look the same and it's difficult to distinguish between the different teams. At close range I find myself standing next to someone who's trying to kill me but I think they're a team mate.
 
Even if they released new maps chances are most servers will stick to vanilla maps and modes (see bf2 and 2142- hardly anyone plays northern strike).

As someone else said id rather it be 4 decent maps than 12 poo ones that no one plays.

Karkand in all its dx11 glory would be awesome!

The info on that is a little suspect, number 1 it doesnt show that option in the vid, and secondly one of the dice guys stated it would be in a patch soon after launch. Maybe things have changed and it comes without patching now.

Another patch has been released to address the disconnect probs.

Well least they are listening! I honestly just p**sed my self with excitement watching that video!

So glad i'm upgrading my system.
