UKIP are just embarrassing

I can't stand the UKIP but he has a point. I have to ask though, if the UKIP MEP is so angry about the situation why doesn't he stand down?

Agree 100% - I don't support UKIP anyway yet somehow I feel ashamed to be British reading that article :( Why feel the need to get personal?

The UKIP concept is they stay in the European Parliament to cause as much problems and lack of action in the parliament as possible - disrupt proceedings in just about any way they can without being booted out, cause rifts, distrust, speak over people, insult people, try and make the workings of the parliament fail basically. Then when Europe gets little done (funnily enough), they say 'look, it's a waste of money, they're not achieving anything, let's give up on it altogether and just go 100% independent states'.

It's kind of sabotage from within. The BNP has the same idea ..

UKIP by their very nature are always going to troll the European Parliment, they're low rate douchebags at best so what other than cheap insults do you expect?

Not much, the behaviour of a man child, how pathetic.

Quite. It's hardly as if prefacing your insult with that somehow renders it better, all it achieves is making you look like you either don't have the insight to realise how rude you are or worse that you don't even have the courage to stand up and say what you mean without trying to hide behind an ineffectual sop like that.

Seems like a pretty pathetic little whinge from Mr Farage but hardly surprising given the parties stated aim.

It's unnecessary to be rude. He could have just stood up and said "Who are you?" three times and sat down. Same effect without the offence.

I like Farage.
I've actually seen him in the real world talking to real people. He wasn't sitting in first class flipping the bird at the proles.

Attacks like that don't go to further the cause of a few valid (increasingly so) position of anti-EU integration. Much to your surprise britboy, they're nothing like the BNP, have no agenda on race and pretty much just attack the pork belly spending that the EU is so very good at.
I have nothing but contempt for the crooks in Brussels, it's all very tiresome.

Interesting how he called him "competent and capable" according to the article.. but then decided to insult his image and personality.

He has a very valid point.

Probably should not express oneself in this manner in parliament, however I imagine that what Mr Farage was saying was on the minds of many people other than me. (Apart from the calling of Belgium as a non country: Belgium is awesome!)

He emerged from nowhere. No one had really heard of him. I'm a eurosceptic too.

I think the first 20 seconds are fine. The personal insults were not necessary. But then again look at the guy's face during that video clip. At least when Gordo is getting ridiculed he looks vaguely dignified.

Anti EU party in anti EU rant. Not really suprising.
No. The manner of it was a little demeaning and unfair I would say. :) I still don't understand why Euro-sceptics want to get elected as MEPs if they hate the EU so much. I can see they say they want to bring the EU down from within but that's not really going to happen is it?

With the "no-one had really heard of him" comment, I think that was partially down to, at least in this country, to be because of the media printing "OMG BLAIR TO BE EU PRESIDENT RUN TO THE HILLS!!" The people of Belgium will have obviously heard of him having been their Prime Minister.

Wasn't really an anti-EU rant though, it was a personal attack. I don't imagine many Belgians have heard of Mr Farage either. And it was an ill-judged attack anyway; the best Prime Minister we've ever had imo (Clement Attlee) didn't have much of a public personality - he just got things done.
