*** Heavy Rain - Official Thread ***

Too be honest one of the reasons I do not like QTE's is that I am not very good at them. Maybe I pick the game up later when discounted or buy a used copy. The story does look rather good.

The thing is - they're really not all that bad in this game, on normal they're just about the right speed, hard is still do-able, but a little more of a challenge; I picked normal for my run-through as I wanted to relax a little and take in some of the action; rather than focus on the prompts.

WOW just WOW

Never played a game with such emotion attached to it as this!

SPOILER

I was genuinely fearing for Sean's well being when I went looking for his Ted after reading the mail before sending him to bed

I've just left it at the end of that chapter but very engrossed thus far

As for the screen tear debate, there's been some very obvious instances so far but in a game so expansive I guess you've got to expect some here and there

Is there an easy setting.

Damn you all, in the space of one hour I've gone from I will never touch another QTE game again to "I hope my local Sainsbury's has stock".

I've played quite a few hours now - this game is immense! The control mechanism is genius and really adds to the immersion.

Yup there is :)

When you start the game it offers you a few options such as 'confident with the controller', 'not so confident etc'.

Normal honestly isn't too hard though :) This game isn't challenging really, so I'm guessing easy would be fine for you.

Will definitely be getting this after playing through my backlog of PS3 games – need to buy less and play more :p

Hopefully will be a bit cheaper by then as well :)

If you have the special edition, then the downloadable Soundtrack isn't ready yet......

Speaking on the Official Playstation Blog, Alex Pavey, European Content Manager said,
"I’m sorry to say that there has been a last-minute technical delay with the Official Soundtrack, meaning that if you redeem your voucher code before 4th March, you will be able to download Chronicle 1 and the Dynamic Theme, but not the Official Soundtrack.

If you redeem your Special Edition voucher after 4th March, you will receive all three pieces of content as normal – and if you can stand to wait a week to start downloading additional content, that will be the easiest approach. If you have already redeemed your voucher code and have not received the Official Soundtrack, please contact your local customer service teams who will be able to help you."

Anyone know the email address to send to? I could only find [email protected].

probably £40+, like they always do.

I've had 1 crash, 1 temporary lockup, and 1 fall through the floor. Not all that far through, still got loads of trophies to get :D

Bah. Pretty much have to get it there cause I have £35 on a gift card. Refuse to spend more than £40 for any game.
I normally refuse to spend more than £30 for console games.... but I couldn't wait to play this :D Davy has a copy on MM for £25... I should have waited a day really ;)
