Awake at 04:00 (Scum dole *****)

lol should you get a job or live on the money for 20 years and then when your 41 go on the dole until you can retire on really crappy goverment pension?

erm yea i wonder what i would choose.

why dont you learn a trade like a plumber? electrician? then start your own company at 21.

might want to buy a cheap flat/house in a decent area a CHEAP one, just so you dont have to pay rent/mortage which should help your money stretch a bit further

Another point, well recommendation - when you get that money at 21, you'd be silly not to go straight to Vegas and have the greatest time of your life. ;)

The best idea I have ever heard.

When I turn 21 I will have too much money and it will probably turn me to drink and drugs if my current lifestyle is anything to go by

I purchased about £700 worth of land in Second Life about 2 years ago, now it's worth about £9,000. :D

Just luck though I guess. or maybe a life in buying and selling. :D

about 15 years ago my buddy recieved £30.000 when he turned 21. no where near as much as the OP but he spent it all in less than a year and had nothing at the end of it.

Anyone angry at me for having a life free from work?

Your life, do what you want provided you aren't hurting others unnecessarily by your actions. Although why you've posted as if people should be annoyed with you or told us the amount I'm not entirely certain unless you're trying to brag about it.

If you want some advice then getting a job and a relatively judicious approach to how you invest/spend the money would probably allow you to build up the sum enough to a level whereby you really would never need to work again after say 35 (as Albert Einstein said “The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest”).

as i expect the op will within a few years given his atitude of thinking 600k = dont work at all

200 a week and 500k when 21. I would be buying houses. 800 a month would easily cover a mortgage. Then live/reinvest the rent.

You could then do pretty much any course you like. Or any job you really like.

I myself would be spending that £200 a week on training and holidays.

Then when the 600k came through spend about 250k on a self built house with wind turbine, solar panels, huge amount of insulation and with loads of "garden space" many acres.
Buy 2x £120-140k houses to rent out. Then live on the rent and do some fun stuff. Maybe make and sell charcoal or a small farm holding or something along those lines top top the rent up.

Buy at least 2 houses and rent out the ones you don't live in. No mortgages to worry about so with any luck the rent from the other houses will easily cover your cost of living. Get just about any job safe in the knowledge the salary isn't that important (just in case you lose any rent money through empty properties).
Sounds like a plan.

Best idea so far...

I would buy 6 cheap houses ~£100k each, live in one, rent 5 out,
That would give you a monthly income of say 5 x£450 or £2250.

With no morgage to pay you would have enough disposable income to slowly expand your property empire.

Profit!
