Nokia N900

It seems the best deals at the moment for the Nokia N900 are on T-Mobile.

Is the T-Mobile network any good?

If anyone knows where I can find a good offer with internet be much appreciated.

In London Tmobile are pretty good, certainly better than o2 (which isnt hard I guess). I find the HSDPA pretty reliable.

t-mobile is good but if you want to use msn and stuff t-mobile blocks it unless you pay extra for mobile broadband on top of web package.

Vodafone great for internet, acts same as home internet without any port blocking far as i know (i'm on voda)

O2 same as voda but as much better ping, you can even game online (i tested cod4 @100ping was playerable LOL). voda ping sucks.

Orange not sure but should be good

i left from o2 to voda but i did use my o2 sim for 4 days in n900 and the O2 internet was actaully very good on it (did have problems with o2 not always connecting to the net)

The only thing i miss about O2 is that they include MMS (comes out of text allowance) and video calling comes of calling minutes (not that i used it but was nice to have)

I get a lot better reception with vodafone but does seem to switch to 2G a lot when on a call but internet is very good

'msn and stuff'??? Everything works but msn. At any rate you can use msn via pidgin if you want.

Think I will avoid T-Mobile due to reports of poor reception/internet speeds/im client blocks.

The Vodaphone internet allowance of 500mb is not enough.

I can't seem to find a Nokia N900/o2 deal with a good internet allowance, they all seem to charge ~£1 a day for using the internet.

Im on O2 with an unlimited internet bolt on for £7.50 p/m. You could possibly 'haggle' and get this in ur contract. This is with CPW.

O2 is 1GB , Voda 500mb, orange 500mb, tmob 500mb as far as i can recall.

I'm a heavy user but dont really stream programs on the go, usually when i'm at home i use wifi. so 500mb is enough but i did fear it wasnt going to be.

so pretty happy so far

1gb tmobile:)

Might just be the fact i have no 3G areas anywhere near me - but i seem to use my N900 more on wifi than not...

Battery charge has definately got better - think i had almost 2 days over the weekend but wasn't using it much, have got into the habit of automatically charging it when i get in the car/as soon as i sit at my desk etc etc :D

there are loads of apps created by the maemo community and some by ovia store.

most of the apps for n900 are "useful apps" so not much unless apps.

I have loads installed on my phone maybe about 15 apps which is useful for my needs and few emu and games.

no turn by turn sat nav yet.
