Absolutely stunning 999 there, kidloco. Congrats on the purchase. :D

Looking at it, there are a few superfluous decals on there compared to the usual Xerox replica scheme, get rid of a few and it will look even better m8.

Swing arm looks particularly cluttered up methinks. ;)

Also, riding about today i thought - is there any point in riding this thing on the road?? Muck, grit, loose stones, grit, cow dung, mud, wet slippy patches all over the road.

Fair enough, its Winter. So you wait until summer when you can actually open her up and get nicked. Put a small plate, exhaust and tinted visor and you're nicked. Knee down and you're nicked. Wheelie and you're banned for a year.

Why bother??
 
Lol make me feel good about spending my cash eh!

Most of the reasons you listed was why it's taken me 3 years to get another one. British summertime has taken a bit of a rest the last few years

Because it's perfectly possible to have mahoosive amounts of fun on the road without doing any of those things? (I am as guilty as anyone with regards speed, but you choose your spot, and take the hit if caught :) )

Stick some nice bar end mirrors on and we have a winner! Hmm, that could be worth a look instead of looking at new S3 or Cb1000r to replace my current S3
 
Very nice 999 :) I might eventually get a ducati for use when it's sunny ;)

Too true, I actually make a point of driving carefully in a car.....any points I'm likely to get on a bike are fair enough IMO (then again a ban is far more likely than points)

Really? My ZZR and ZX6 were rock solid through really bad conditions, not expecting any different from the replacement ZZR...

That Youtube footage is excellent considering the price of those things!!. Do you have one of these?. I'm off to order two. Will stick one on the front of the bike and one on the rear. Awesome!! :D
 
So, thanks to isset posting that duke streetfighter i had a go on one.......and now i'm looking at chucking my S3, 3k and the whatevers left depending on Glasgow Ducati'sbest price on a new normal 1098 one. No point for me on the 1098s as same power just traction control and some other gimmicks.

Hoping they will do it for less than the 12k as previously was only going to spend 6k on replacement for my s3.

having sleepless night tonight as waiting on best deal for both my S3 and there's on price. Rest on 0% finance which i dont like taking but after rubbish 18 months i'm treating myself.

I'm going to wait til I can get one the right side of 10k and hopefully someone will also have added a pair of Termis to it for me ;)

Red looking like as only colour it should be, although white looks tasty.

My S3 is black so fancy a change athough never asked if 1098 was available in black as think thats just in the s version

Saw one for sale down south for 10k! Think was in manchester but would rather get 0% on it than get bank loan for rest over my 3k for s3 and 3k deposit.

Mirrors are first thing on my list though to go!
