In an ideal world... What is your next car?

It really depends on when I have to give the E60 back to my parents. :p If they come back to the UK at the end of 2010 then I'll have about £7-8k to spend. If they come back at the end of 2011 it will be more like £9-10k.

At the moment I'm thinking about either a BMW 120 Sport or an Alfa GT 2.0 JTS (Would love the 3.2 V6 but not sure if I could afford the running costs).

Those are my two top choices so far.

Panzer

Pretty much was my list (in order) 200SX, Accord Type-R or E36 328i. Plumped for the 200SX in the end :)

I love all of them. And really been having dirty VTEC thoughts recently :D

We shall see, gonna be an interesting year this one, depending on how things go, I'll either carry on with the Rover for a year or so or get one of the above around July'ish time.

I'm strangely drawn to the old SLK 32 AMG and I don't know why..

If I had lots to ***** on a new car, it'd probably be a TTRS, although I'd probably live with a TTS :p

Hopefully one day i will get a V8 of sorts, mustang, Monaro etc. But I will be keep my 200SX for a while yet, 400bhp is my target. Still V8 conversions are becoming more common for the 200SX now so even that maybe an option after i have reached the limits of what my engine can do.

Still loving my e36 328sport, but wouldnt mind a e46 330 or 530. M3 would be an option but may be starting a family soon, i do kinda like the saloon...

It's a Vauxhall Sportshatch

From http://www.droopsnoot.co.uk

Sportshatch
So what do you do if you've a few hundred Droopsnoot nosecones left over? You make a sporting estate...

Now officially called the Magnum, Vauxhall's big engined HC load carrier was crying out for the Droopsnoot treatment, particularly after the Styling Department came up with Wayne Cherry's one-off sporting estate, Silver Bullet. The Sportshatch wasn't quite as radical as Bullet, with only the four headlights and a standard Magnum 2300 slant four; but it got the Droopsnoot's tweaked suspension and Avon safety alloys, that nosecone, and a deep, dark red paint job with thick bright red stripes at the waistline - and another outlet for Vauxhall's '70s tartan fetish.

Sadly, as with the Droopsnoot, the Sportshatch didn't really fly off the forecourts, and the build finished at two hundred odd examples; but again Vauxhall created an instant classic, started a trend for sports estate cars, and established a name that continues with the current 16 valve Astras.

They rot spectacularly. Check this out:

When it was hauled out of that field, no there wasn't. Fair play the guy restoring it has taken on a real monster of a job. Note the cross bracing temporarily welded across the doors to hold the shell square while it's being rebuilt, and the scissors jack/axle stand combo bracing the bulkhead!

It will be fine again when finished.

The R35 GTR is the better car. Looks wise the R34 is the daddy though :)

I know it's the better car :), it's rather out of my pricing league anytime soon else I would have mentioned it. It's like 3x the cost of an R34 GTR I'm guessing.

Always loved the R34, I WILL get one whenever :p
