since building my new rig over a month ago i've not touched the ps3 at all until last night

i've been playing crysis,crysis warhead,AVP,world in conflict,supreme commander,dirt 2.

now last night i discovered this whole ps3 clock issue and thought i'd check in on it and carry on playing fallout 3 on ps3 well after about 3 minutes of playing i had to turn it off it was just unplayable. The graphics looked poor,No AA it seemed to be moving at the pace of a drugged up slug so slow and horrible so i thought i'd try resi 5 and bioshock 2 and they looked just as bad. I'm not sure if it's the slowness or the graphics thats making it look like poo or maybe even both all i know is it's driving me mad

Should i sell up get £300 for the ps3 stuff i have and spend more on the pc

By the way i've owned every console from master system to ps3 the only one i never got was the dreamcast and i'm no fan boi of any company

welcome to the superior world of PC, hey took me some time too ;) I use my PS3 for streaming although haven't turned it on since sunday. I just find that PC gaming is what I prefer. TBH only games I played (note past tense) was Drake's Fortune, MGS4 and GT prologue, which are PS3 exclusives.

If it not a slim (and that could change in near future) I would sell it since there is high chance the blue ray laser will die - just google. If you don't use it for streaming, sell it - or keep it - up to you.

even metal gear 4 looks pretty poop lol think i will either have to sell or set all my pc games to DX9 ultra low settings with no AA:D

If you're not enjoying it then I see NO use in keeping it; sell it, buy a blueray player and put the rest towards a 5850/70? :D

I bought a 360 and PS3, both on release. On the 360 I played Oblivion for around 92 hours, I clocked GOW1 .... and then never touched it again. It has not been switched on for over 3 years. I keep it as a museum piece. With the PS3 I never played anything until GTA IV came out. I drove from the boat to Roman's apartment and turned it off and ordered the game on PC. I gave the PS3 to my brother in law and he gave it back after 6 months later after he took my advice and bought a gaming PC.

It's now also a museum piece.

So you bought 3 big name games and decided there was no use having either console?

i have a blu ray and 50 inch plasma in the living room for watching movies my ps3 is connected to my 22 inch 1080p monitor which the pc is also on.

Think it's time to rid myself of the burdon of console gaming.

Tbh you're better off selling your PC and using the money to collect all the consoles and have a decent TV.

PC releases are becoming a joke.

Most people on here feel that it's a golden age for PC games. You only need to look at the past, recent and future releases coming up.

Someone's bitter? :p

As I said if you don't use it get rid of it, while it's still worth something ;)

I say keep the PS3 as a media player and for the exclusives.

I would never buy a cross platform title on mine, but I love games like Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles, and Heavy Rain as well as loads others that'll never come to PC.

I wouldn't sell my Xbox, Wii or PS3 despite buying most of my games on the PC, just because of the exclusives.
