Just took delivery of my new Super King Size Bed :D

However - getting an electric blanket to fit is £100+

Would I have any problems buying 2 singles for each side bearing in mind most say they need to be tied down and of course wouldn't be able on one side  Or do I bite the bullet and stop being so cheap?! :p

I have a king size and have a £15 one from argos, doesn't cover the whole thing but i've stretched it across the bottom where my feet go. I only ever put it on before I actually get in to bed as it heats the whole thing up plus otherwise I wake up pretty ill :p

The bed plus duvet+covers+pillows etc has cost me £400 so far I would rather spend £15 on two single heaters then £100 on a massive one :D

electric blankets sound dangerous to me, whats wrong with getting warm under the quilt? how old are u bud

I got one designed for a baby, I can't see it being dangerous. And because getting warm under the quilt requires getting into a cold bed first, whereas I can get into an already roasting bed :D

Are you like 80 or something? Why would you waste money on an electric blanket?

My friends were confused too, until they tried my bed... Now they have one :p
