Up another £7 why don't you just charge £200 and be done with it this is getting ridiculous now.

So what caused this this time i'm betting a member of staff in the clean room farted and cost them a few million

The £7 extra will be nothing to do with the vendor, it will be the bulk price that they buy them for increasing.

I paid £117 for my 5770 and could not be happier with it.

Sterling's dropped by 10c vs the USD, from c. 1.59 to 1.49, so prices are inevitably going up by the same margin. Only way around is to move to the US or get a job paying dollars

I thought the 5770 suppose to be the best value card currently produced. I was thinking of getting 1. I may just save a few months extra and get a 5970 or wait and see what how Nvidia's new card turns out. At the worst the 5970 may drop in price.

The prices have made my mind up...I'm going to wait for the 6850!

My 4870 is still playing games very well, by the time the PS4 etc are out (and loads of games start to be demanding) the 8*** will be out!

Basically my stance is I'm not going to upgrade until there's a single slot card worth upgrading to from a 4870 (I assume that'll be like a 6770 or GTS 650 or something), as I plan on doing a major upgrade/rebuild to a small form factor system at some point in the distant future.
