Looking to buy windows 7 for my new main rig(work in progress) is there any reason i shouldnt go for the 64-bit? I will also be buying a copy for my sisters laptop which i was gonna just buy the 32. Both will be clean installs no previous os. Is the above the correct choices and tad cheeky but do you get money off for buying multiple copies i did see a 3 user licence a while back thats why i ask.

64 Bit is the way forward to be honest. It can address more RAM than the 32 bit version and the vast majority of software will run just fine on it.

If you have a 64-bit processor then there is no reason not to get 64-bit Windows 7. Even if you don't have 4GB or more RAM right now, you cover yourself for the future [especially if you buy Retail since you can install it on to a new machine].

The 3-license copy of Windows 7 is the Family Pack. I believe it is Windows 7 Home Premium.

ok so bought win 7 64-bit OEM. But i think i have been a bit of an idiot:mad: Am i right in saying i cannot upgrade my motherboard with a OEM version? bought a 5770 and the os just now until i get the money together for the cpu, mobo and ram but was planning on using them now.

It's explained in the licensing sticky (scroll to the bottom).
