Ok lol...

I'm currently using a rucksack that fits a 15.4" laptop in it along with all my other stuff I need for work. It's fine when I don't have to go into London as it just goes from the car to an office and back, but when I have to trek round London with it I'm finding it's completely screwing my right shoulder up.

I'm thinking about getting one of those uber gay bags with wheels on it that I can use when I go into London to save having pain in my shoulder and neck.

I thought about a briefcase, but don't think it would be big enough to fit a 15.4" laptop, tools, network cables etc.

I would just put this bag on both shoulders, or alternate shoulders, but my left arm doesn't move properly so I can't.

A bag that I can put on one shoulder that goes across my body and rests by the opposite hip might work cause I could probably get that onto either shoulder without too much effort.

Anyone got any recommendations of a practical bag that doesn't look too homo-erotic?

Thanks,

G

Are you useing the rucksack strap on one shoulder or both? I used to get shoulder pains when all the weight was on one shoulder. Using both rucksack straps solved the problem.

lol at the pink handbag :D

...could use both the straps...or is that not trendy? ;)

I've got one of these, great quality stuff; plenty of choices. Will probably last you longer than your run of the mill highstreet crap too.

And it ain't gay, ignore the haters.

Don't get one of these - the little suit cases with wheels on that get in everyone's way during rush hour - kicked one of these things over at holborn station as some numpty was dragging his arm behind him wheeling the tiny suitcase through a big crowd and nearly tripping over a bunch of people.

Rucksack will be better than a manbag for carrying loads even if you are only able to wear it on one shoulder - it just sounds like you're not used to carrying heavy bags - try carrying it around a bit more often and you'll get used to it. Maybe do some weight training as you really shouldn't be getting shoulder pains from carrying a daysack with a laptop and some tools or whatever in...
