I'm not sure but for some reason I thought memory does scale better on Intel than on AMD? maybe I'm wrong . . . ?

Oooh that's interesting Nelly! :)

I heard a few people mention AMD are trying to clamp down on the unlocking feature but I kinda thought that was just talk? . . . . some people (you?) were saying that the latest ASUS BIOS updated was disabling ACC features but the updates were getting even more ACC friendly i.e I get an option to unlock now presented to me during the POST screen! :D

Time will tell, interested to see how this pans out! :cool:
 
tbh im a tad disappointed with this new chipset, and im glad i got impatient and got a 790gx board. i thought they would have at least shrunk it to 40nm, its more of a 795gx (ie its to the 790gx exactly as the 785g is to the 780g).
The only thing that could possibly tempt me is the new sata specs, but i think ill wait for the next chipset generation. Thy even removed ACC :/ (yes the asus has the little extra chip thing, but im pretty sure most wont...)

at least the southbridge has some promise...

x4 975 looks promising

and x2 565? Wondering if that will scale any good.
Those should drop prices of current 555 to around 60quid I guess which would make it a total steal at that price.

Good to see X6s being low TDP as well, should easily work with all 785+ chipsets :-).
Will make nice upgrade path if they perform any good.

And some 955/965 OC maybe too.
