GTX480 first pictures

@nico
Should be enough to drive down prices of Ati cards!
It's gunna be pay-off time for all the people waiting 6 months for £20-40 off a 5870, it sounded such a good plan as well. :p

We should be seeing 5870's for £170 - 190 before long... :D

You're having a giraffe aren't you?

100 cards at way more money than a 5870 and only 5% faster isn't going to drop tthe price.

More likely ATI increase the price!

To be fair, the 5,000 run (which is rubbish) is also due to the morons at TSMC screwing up every single process they do. (and seem to do a bigger screwup with each new process)

I carnt see anyone in this forum getting there hands on one, this is bad news for people expecting prices to drop, if your waiting for an NV card, my suggestion is buy the ATI's now while you can still afford them.

:p

For anyone who cares, after extensive measuring (AKA 30 seconds with Adobe photoshop ruler tool), using the PCB width as a guide. I'd say the PCB of the GTX480 card would be no longer than 261mm. So assuming the PCB size is right and won't change, the PCB itself will be slightly shorter than the 5870s which is 266mm. Factoring in the cooler, I can't see it being longer than the 5870, if anything slightly shorter.
