Ok I'm going to attend this one. Photography meet anyone? March 7th?

I can repeat tuesday!

Think a couple of folk are leaving around 7 - 8pm but I've got a hotel for a couple of nights so I can hang around if there are any evening shots if possible. :)

ahh got ya :D I wish I could have stayed for a few nights to but alas my uni calls .... would have been good to get a few night shots !!!

just orderd another battery hope it gets here in time :D thatll be 3 in total I think that should be enough

yeah I'll be taking my charger with me but to be honest I think I'll survive with one battery fully charged. got two 4gb cards which can take about 140 shots each. ordered another couple today so not sure if they would arrive in time.

Hmm, well my 5D II is on the way from Kerso so it might just arrive in time to bring along for the day except i'll only have one battery and don't fancy running out. May just trust in my 400D, workhorse that it is, as i have lots of spare batteries because i find long exposures in the cold drain batteries quickly.

Just remember that sunset is around 6pm so I reckon you have another 40 mins if its a bright day to shoot on or around Waterloo Bridge, then walk back past the London Eye to get a few shots before heading home on the train around 7pm. I might head back into China Town if the lanterns are still up (will find out tomorrow) and do some street photography as i think the saturated colours and shallow DOF will produce some nice bokeh shots to finish of my day.

This is all provided that we don't get rain!

Edit/ BBC says Sunday will be Sunny intervals with a toasty 6C dropping to -1 and partly cloudy evening.

bbc stating weather should be, a wonderful mixture of things haha

Outbreaks of rain developing on Friday, perhaps turning to sleet and snow for a time. Saturday and Sunday mostly dry, perhaps the odd wintry shower. A cold easterly wind.

its showing sunny intervals and a high of 6C

The 5Dii grip cost as much as some entry level DSLR ! Add the cost of a Canon Battery you can get a new DSLR !

Yeah but then you bolt it on and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Really do not like using my 5D2 without it's grip. On the very rare occaision I do some street photography I'l take it off though.

Thank god for my free grip and battery, strokes my Oly. :p
I'll have my batteries charged and ready for up to whatever number of photos can fit on my 16GB (about 888 iirc) and with battery to spare if I don't do long exposure or too much LV.

Id love a bettery grip itd make my d60 look more of a beast and con people into thinking im pro lol. But I dont have that much cash at the minute (yes there only £23 of the bay) and Im debating wether I should get a new camera for when I graduate ....

think we'd best be careful when we are meeting in the train station and when we go on the tube (if we do) cos how suspicious will we look when theres about a dozen guys with a variety of backpacks entering a train / tube station!

Still at least we'd get a carriage all to ourselves :D

lol theyd just think were tourists with all the big ass cameras :D

is anyone actually on the east coast mainline due to arrive at 12:23 ?

Are we going on tubes? would it be worth getting a all day ticket or would it be cheaper just to get a ticket as and when?
