Just Cause 2 (demo 4th march)

it's telling me i need a newer version of windows....i'm on xp.
anyone else have this problem or have i missed something ?
 
Quite suprised how well this runs, was expecting it to be very sluggish, settings are maxed at 1680x1050 with 2xaa, getting 60+fps whilst wondering around, and about 40-45 fps during action and in areas with lots of buildings, vegetation etc.

Although i'm finding the controls difficult, wish my pad would work...
 
Any non steam links? Steam being Steam decides that when it is updating or downloading something else nothing else on my entire network is allowed any bandwidth and everything else fails.
 
Lovely gfx, had some fun poping a gas tank and grapling on and flying high with it then chuting off. Choppers im not so good with.

Driving and enemies are far better than jc1.

Trouble with the chute tho i duno how to keep altitude i keep going down no matter if i press up or down.
 
With the parachute you can grapple at the ground, when you are being pulled in, pull back on the pad/keyboard and you will gain altitude. Tricky, but you get use to it.
 
Love the enviroment on this game, but does anyone else find that its really cumbersome to try and aim and shoot some-one? This is one game that I think would be more suited to a gamepad.
 
should look nice it by the hunter team :D which also is adding new content soon with a big island and new animals like wild boar bears and others

Found this on the 360 version too. Doesn't seem to be much of an aim assist or lock on feature. Unless im missing something or need to hold a button down.
 
Yeah but they got to make their money so going to do their best to phase it out. I'm sure there will be an XP hack in the near future.
