Christoph Waltz imo should get the best supporting actor.

Inglourious ******** also deserves to win something :)

I do hope that District 9 gets best picture but can't see it happening.

Christoph Waltz should get the best supporting actor and Jeremy Renner for best Actor in a leading role.

Chris Waltz and Morgan Freeman both deserve awards. The Hurt Locker deserves soemthing too.

Up in the Air is nominated a fair few times - Have yet to see this, im assuming it's worth a watch then?

only seen 4 of the films mentioned... got to say though, the blind side was a fantastic film and acting.

the other 3 would be avatar, district 9 and UP but nothing to get excited about in my opinion. though im guessing avatar will clean up the awards its nominated for

Out of the Avatar nominations I think it definitely deserves:

Art Direction
Music (original score)
Visual effects

Also maybe Cinematography.

Best picture is debatable but if it wins it won't be a undeserved.

The directing categories I have no idea about, same for "sound editing".
