SAPPHIRE 5970 & VAPOR X 5870 DELIVERY & POWERCOLOR 5850 DIRT 2 DELIVERY

cool.... Which PSU the 600W or the 850W? Currently using a 580W and I can upgrade the CPU next time around..... I think as Im such a games player, a better GPU is a better option so once the PSU is sorted I'll whip out the old Credit card to purchase this..... Ooh getting excited..!!:D

Go with the 600 watt, will do the job fine.

Any problems with this..?

Edit ah - thanks RavenXXX2 600W it is then... Save me a few quid. About to make that order... Credit card on the desk ready. Ooh and I get free shipping as well.. lol

If you're running 4GB and not 2 of system memory then yes that looks spot-on.

Edit, yeah 4GB it is, buy buy!

Yes its going to be 4GB. Its currently 2GB as I've only got Windows XP but that'll be upgraded to Windows 7 once the upgrades are completed....

So this'll be a wicked system then? Wow I'm so pleased I can upgrade a three year old system so easily...Back in 1994 you'd have to replace nearly everything when it came to upgrade time... Man I'm showing my age..!! lol

Nabbed one of the 5870s before they vanish again, damn and blast the price :p

BC2 is just too much for the poor 8800GTX, it's getting de-commissioned after 3¼ years

Ok I'm now registered with OCUK and can order this now... The order is ready my address details are in, credit card registered all I need to do now is click send order and its done..

no one got any problems with this rig, seems RavenXXX2 has pretty much talked me into this, so OCUK, thank him for a sale....

On a 1080p TV this should be blu ray movie and large screen gaming bliss.!! :D Watch this all go wrong as I end up with a compatibility issue..!!:p

I have my 5870 hooked up to my pany 42" 1080p plamsa, Blurays through total media theatre 3 look absolutely brilliant, way better than most mid to highend players.

Ok.... I'm just looking at SATA cables as I think the blu ray at the top of the case might be a tad too high up for a standard supplied cable... so I'll add a standard 60cm cable to my order and its done..

I too have a pany 42" 1080p plasma, so this'll be cool.. Thanks all.

Fatboy, thank RavenXXX2

He just got the company you work for an order for this -

3.4Ghz. Thats at 425x8 multi too!

Not bad, got my E6600 running at 3.01ghz 333x9 or something like that... I'd have to check the BIOS my memory is bad at times....

I just hope this new GPU isn't too held back by my CPU... I tend to run games at 1280 x 720 at the moment, and with 2 x AA the GTX is struggling a little... With 4 x AA isn't so good, and 8QXAA in Batman using FRAPS I can get as low as 20fps in some scenes... lol but that was 1920 x 1080 with 4 x AA in a GTX so if the 5870 can at least get to around 40fps on the same settings then I'll be happy... Who knows.. I'll find out when i install it...

Would not go any higher without stupid volts. And I am on air.
I was playing HalfLife 2 + EP1 and 2 on 1920x1080 with the Cinematic Mod at fulll everything, and the fps display was stuck at 60 fps no matter what! I would say that is a win!

Now that these cards are in stock......Would the 5870 be ok with my current build? Or would the 5850 be a better choice?

[email protected] on a gigabyte 965p-ds3, Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU. My trusty 8800GTX seems to be flagging a bit on BFBC2!

Slipperz :)
