I'm done. I've put loads of time into this game and I REALLY wanted to be good at it. Din't want to win any tournaments or anything silly, just be at a level where I could compete. It seems while everyone else gets better and better, I have stayed awful.

I'm fed up with being fed up about it. I'm uninstalling as we speak and that's the end of SF for me.
Been good fun though and I've genuinely enjoyed being a part of the small 'scene' that we have on this forum.

Cheers All

Dood... I know how you feel. Albeit I didnt put in as much time as you, I know that even if I did I would still suck royally compared to other people. I guess what you have to realise is that some people live/eat/breath/poop SF4.

Give it a break and perhaps come back when SSF4 is out?

Cav, you don't need much time to get competitive in SFIV, it's not like 3S or ST.

You do need the right environment and company though, as I learn a lot more in 2 hours of play at the dojo than I would in a month of playing OcUKers online.

I play this game FAR less than the other people that were at the recent Manchester tournament, but a lot of them waste the time they do spend playing (if they want to get good, of course time you enjoy wasting is never wasted time).

Click on it to find out, it's a stream of an invitational tournament.

Click on the link? Never occured to me!

All I see is a game being supposedly streamed. There is no information about what or where the stream is coming from (at on my screen).

Who holds these invitational tournmanents?

Gods Garden = Japanese tournament.

Not that difficult to not hear the screaming Japanese announcer.

It's a Japanese invitational of the best players in Japan.
Which basically means the best Street Fighter players in the world.

It's like the masters in snooker, just the best of the best.

Good Lord! guile mirror match at the mo :(

Thonic Bewm!

I think you missed the main tournament.

Those were just casuals, the finals were between Tokido and Uryo.

Incredible matches, clutch play from both.

Tokido won btw

I see! Thank you for the explanation. This is what I was looking for.

Chris, if you enjoy playing the game then carry on playing. I too, don't plan on winning any tournaments but I enjoy taking part, I enjoy playing the game, heck I even enjoy getting beats of Artheas like today! :D

Well it finished 12-8 to him, some ****ing close rounds aswel  he just makes less mistakes then me. I perfected him 1 round which I had to obviously show my satisfaction at by taunting him in the next round :p unfortunately, he got a perfect back a few games later. :o

Like I said, he beats me and I struggle to keep up, I have to be on form, I have to keep thinking every single round. I have to rely on Ryu and a bit of Sagat whereas he flicks through Akuma, Gouken, Ryu, Rufus etc etc, he was kind enough not to choose elfuerte today (THANKS!!!) Even if he beat me 20-0 I'd still carry on playing the game.

Get it installed again and lets get another session going soon :)

Its a privelge and honour to play against you and Arth :) I genuinely enjoy our games. Even when I get frustrated if I get a serial beating off Arth, but I learn from it. And I also feel he manages to get away with bloody murder sometimes with his Gouken I remember :))

Man its been long since I played this :(

By the way, shops are selling SSF4 for around 20-25 quid. Was this the special pricing that Capcom we're on about? Wasnt SF4 similarly priced?
