THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE

OK let's not turn this thread into an anti-Twilight one, if you don't have interest then keep your comments to yourself.

I for one am looking forward to this, hoping the proper trailer is released soon though!

Twilight is alright, I quite enjoyed the first film.

Second film wasn't very good imo.

Books are decent nothing amazing, can see the appeal.

As far as I'm aware, they are going to break the last book 'Breaking Dawn' iirc into two seperate films, so that means at least another 2 films after Eclipse.

That also depends on if they plan on doing the other twilight related book...'The Host' or something. So maybe another 3 films. Not a fan but my other half likes it.

This looks pretty good to me. I really liked the first film although I haven't seen New Moon yet.

Yep, and Breaking Dawn will probably be pretty violent if it sticks to the book as I believe the author is insisting it should.

My wife loves it

Mine too. I've seen both films and I didn't really like either - the little dark haired vampire girl is just lovely. After the 2nd film I actually found myself disliking the lead girl character. No doubt I'll be expected to watch the other films as and when they appear :(

The Host is nothing related to Twilight. It would be a separate movie altogether.

I can't remember Elipse too much, I don't like Jacob so didn't really like the bits from his point of view.

I didn't like the way they did New Moon so hopefully Ecipse will be much better. I know I'll go see it just because I've seen the others and read the books.

Right, so I went to see this at midnight because my girlfriend is a die hard fan. It's 2 hours of my life I won't get back, in all honesty.
For those of you that actually appreciate/enjoy the books and films then you may be disappointed with this one. I didn't enjoy it as much as New Moon, it felt like a fill in between the events of number 2 and number 4. I won't fill in with any spoilers, but I imagine there will be a few of you on here that are dragged to go see it with partners or are secretly die hard Twilight fans ;)

Was it busy? Don't really want to go for the first 2 weeks it's out due to swarms of teen girls screaming a high pitched drone when Pattinson comes on screen.

My gf loves them but I absolutely hate them. At first it was a simple vague dislike, however after having been forced to sit through the first two, I have developed an immense swelling hatred of the lead girl.

She's the most sullen, angsty, depressing and irrational idiot I've possibly ever seen in a movie. She's summed up entirely in the beginning of the second movie when she's sitting on her bed and her father comes in all smiling and happy and gives her a birthday present. She then turns, face like a smacked arse, and says "I thought we agreed no presents?" Wtf? I mean really... I wish she'd smile for ******* once. And then that whole song driven sequence of her breakdown was simply the most pathetic and saddest thing I've ever seen in a movie.

I felt more compassion for Rambo and his relationship with that Vietnamese girl in Part 2 I watched last night.

Don't even get me started with that false white-toothed wolf boy who is the worst actor I've seen within the last decade. Robert Patterson was enough, but now this wolf boy seems to have taken things to an entirely different level of awfulness and I feel like ramming my head against the wall each time I see his smiling gob in the news.

I told my gf under no circumstances will I sit through the next movie with her. She told me it will happen, but we'll have to see about that ;)

We went to an over 18 screening so it wasn't too busy (there were another 2 showings for everyone which were pretty full), and no high pitched screaming thank god. Sat in VIP for my first time (at Vue) and don't think it was anything special either.

I saw it last night too, it was bloody rammed full. Both the marathon twilight/new moon screening beforehand and then eclipse as well. That said, I quite enjoyed this one.
