Power Color 5870 Dirt 2 Edition *This week Only*

Blimey, that is tempting! Just wished the manufacturer had a better reputation!

I have used them before, never had an issues with their cards.
As i did not have to do RMA with them i do not know how good or bad it is.
Its maybe RMA process where they are really bad?

Nope, owned quite a few Powercolor branded cards and had nothing but good experiences. If I had the money (and PC) I'd jump on this.

M8, my configuration is

C2D E8400 @ 3.8 Ghz
Abit IX38 quad GT
4 gig OCZ reaper ram
Antec Neo HE 550
Win 7 64 bit

Card runs like dream, i have posted my impressions in this post http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18122109 in slightly more detail.

If only your configuration is stopping you from getting this card , no reason really

I'd still rather buy the vapor-x version.

I had this, and it's not like Version 1. The one on the site is V2, but still showing V1 for some change reason ,
Which OC should change.

Only difference in looks, is v1 has the black board, and v2 has the blue board. it dont clock as good as version 1.
you could up the volts with v1 using msi afterburner!! but you can't with v2,
As it just don't seem to work with afterburner.

Read up on it, and you're see people rather have v2. :D

I just like the cooler.

Ordered one of these this morning, can't wait to om nom nom through BFBC2.

I am sure you will be happy with the card, but BFBC2 is going to cause you pain.
Singleplayer works fine, in fact its quite good but short.

Multiplayer is completely broken. I had it since it was released, i have not managed to join single multy game. There`s masses of people with same problem.

It got to that stage that i actually have asked for either refund or replacement for different game, i doubt it will get me anywhere with EA, but i tried.

Its shame really as game is decent, if it only worked

Any guesses as to how quickly these will sell out? Need to order parts for a mate but he can only be sure that he has the money tomorrow.

I doubt they'll sell quickly, too many people who are against buying Powercolor cards.

Alright, thanks :)

I'm kinda out of luck no matter what in regards to RMA's, purchasing from Denmark means its almost too expensive to ship back to the UK regardless. Besides i've been very happy with my Powercolor 4870.

oh no there is nothing wrong with powecolor, the MSI lightning is a top end card, with special cooling 15 phase power supply, high performance components etc etc.

To be totally fair, my view of Powercolor isn't at all based on personal experience. A friend of mine tried to go through their RMA service and got to a point where he just gave up. This was going back a while now. Maybe since then they have improved their customer service.
