Warcraft - Druid Help Needed

After a bit of reading here and there I am now doing feral mainly with cat. Taking down mobs is really quick, just spamming mangle then finishing with either FB or rip. Is this the right way to do it? Just dinged 54 last night but enjoying playing my druid again.

Also, is it worth using dual spec to have one for bear and one for cat? I've got the money on an alt so the's no problem.
 
Yeah if you are just questing and doing mobs solo you should be able to take most out very quick using mangle and Ferocious bite. When things start taking longer to kill (probably if you are cat in an instance then dots will become more important) For solo play savage roar and tigers fury should be used to maximise the amount of ebnergy you have.

If you are just soloing i would make a pure burst damage cat spec (with points in the resto tree) and put any spare points in utility. I personally would have a secondary tank spec for soloing harder mobs and doing instance runs but a good midway spec could give you the most scope if you don't want dual specs.

Thanks for that, only problem is I wont get savage roar for another 20 levels! Currently got 41 pts in feral and 4 in resto. Off for a session now while the Mrs is busy!
 
Got stuck into playing my Rogue again so didn't get round to my Druid! Now I am gonna level him as feral but what attack rotation should I use as a lvl 57 kitty?
 
Pretty much just mangle spam, sometimes ferocious bite if you feel like it.

Of course thats just for levelling/grinding, proper cat "rotation" is a completely different matter...
 
I gave up trying to get decent dps with cat and started Resto... using the vuhdo addon and it's a lot of fun.

gonna regem my cat gear sometime and try tanking.
