Week of Steam deals - Square Enix & Eidos Interactive

this week has truly been a let down, i was gutted i missed mondays as Deus ex was most likely the only good deal.....tomb raider underworld for £5 more than I bought it for last November......oh cheers!

if final fantasy VII appears i will actually wet myself with joy though

These two games on deal today only got a review score of 71 & 74

Think i give them a miss this time and save my money for hopely a good steam weekend deal ;)

I picked up the bundle so I didn't have to pay so much for mini ninjas - not sure how worth-it it'll be, but I umm'd and ahh'd over the extra quid saved versus having Gyromancer in my Steam list, which is plain crap.

Well I decided to buy Gyromancer after trying the demo again and realising I was enjoying it.

It doesn't pull up any trees but I think if you like Puzzle Quest type games then it will provide a few hours of simple fun.

I tried the demo of mini ninjas though and ugh, not my type of game at all, and with a clunky interface as well.

The final day deal is Batman for £15, it says 60% off but it is actually 50% :/

It also mentions Final Fantasy XI but I don't see that at all. edit - it's there now, it wasn't when I looked earlier.

edit - I see if you buy Just Cause AS WELL, then it actually costs £13.25 for that and Batman. The usual Steam weirdness.

I see Batman is only £11.99 at Game and gameplay anyway.

I recently tried playing Just Cause but it sort of felt dated in terms of gameplay. There should still be a demo floating around so I suggest you try that if you're unsure.

Are there any multiplayer servers for Deus Ex then?

Bah, Deus Ex isn't about multiplayer. If you want longevity, play the game on realistic. Once you've done that, play it on realistic using no lethal weapons. Once you've done that, play it again on realistic without harming anyone :p

Keeps getting better with every playthrough..:D

Nah not for me. I take it they are saving Batman AA for the last day. I've already finished that on the PS3 though.

I was right then! I've already finished batman AA on the PS3 and sold it. I think it cost me £6. If it was stupidly cheap on Steam I'd probably buy it, but it's still a good few quid for a game I've finished.

The first time I played Deus Ex, I played in realistic using nothing other than the pistol and mini crossbow XD.

I absolutely loved the stealthy sneaky gameplay as opposed to just running around blasting stuff dead. I dont enjoy FPS games, but Deus Ex 1 was sooooo different and brilliant.

The second one was pants though.

Worth £5.99 on Steam then?

Never played it but the reviews have raised my interest.

It was worth the 2.99 they were asking for it on Monday. You can probably get the retail version for £5 or less, unless you desperately want it on steam.

It's one of the best PC games of all time, btw. And also has the worst fake-australian and fake-chinese voice acting I've ever heard :D

They used real Chinese voice actors if you look at the credits ;) it's just that most of the voices were done by the production\technical staff to keep within budget.
