I thought that with the GTX 470/480 imminent there would be some activity on the 295 side. Why are there virtually no 295's around?

Andi.

I would assume that's just on the off chance that an old shipment of them turns up in a warehouse somewhere and manages to make it's way to OcUK.

You'd expect some 2nd hand ones to appear after the 480 release, as long as nVidia can produce enough 480s to cause some movement in the market.

And if you're going to void the warranty by watercooling then you may as well go 2nd hand.

I just typed a long thing about watching the Members market, but then realised you dont have enough posts lol.

Email my trust as we cant trade out here, and you havent configured yours so i cant email you.

zotac warranty covers changing the cooler :) Only reason I went with them after breaking my 280's by changing the coolers lmfao. That was a fun and costly experience lol.

Just done that. 250 messages to get to the members market - I'll have to get a bit more active :-) Doing about 10 a year so far !!

Whilst looking for a second hand one then will I be able to identify the later single PCB cards. The water block I'm looking at states single PCB design.

Andi.

you can easily identify the difference between a single pcb and dual pcb 295. The pic of mine i linked you two is the dual pcb ones without the standard coolers. But on a stock one with an air cooler, the single pcb one has a fan in the centre of the card, the dual pcb one has it at one end and you cant see it. But if your looking at second hand just be sure to ask the person your buying it from. I would have thought that you could get blocks for either kind though.

Second hand blocks might be the way forward for you as well, they tend to be hard to shift on their own, as i found out. Ive still got a gtx 280 (original design) which i don't need or want that just been collecting dust for over a year now, despite trying to sell it for less than a third of what i paid for it.

But yea, get your post count up, and just place a wanted ad in the MM, then watch all of the users like myself flock to your thread on the 26th of march. Unless fermi sucks, in which case meh.

How much are you trying to sell the 280 for?

There are some around but they are priced at £430 or so on average which is a little high. Im flogging mine on a few other forums as I have 4 of them (single PCB). I may put a for sale thread in here if I get the post counts up. (and no that doesnt mean spamming my way to it lol).
