I agree, the only benefit of it I find is it can cause damage to light vehicles, whereas the GOL doesn't.
i manged to shoot the pilot of a blackhawk last night took the heli down and got a triple kill also manged to shoot 1 of the door gunners, 1 shot from it will destory the uav

If you can aim well you can take down a UAV it next to no time with the M24/GOL - get once shot on it and just switch to the M1911 (best pistol by far) and just fire two rounds up there, one of which will hit and down it goes :)

Just remember to press Q on EVERYTHING you see and shoot - best way to get points, I've managed to get up to 1300 points in one conquest match with no kills no deaths just spotting everything :D
 
My finger has a "Q" branded into it because i use it that much.. becoming so much of a reflex action i do it automaticaly on who ever i shoot wether its from 6ft or 200ft away :)

Do wish that people would spot a bit more as well, it helps out no end, even when a guy runs into foliage for cover if he's been spotted you can aim for the "here i am" red triangle and still get a kill even if you can no longer actualy see his body shape.. result :)
 
I wish i had fraps running 24/7, nice when you pull of a impressive shot and then you realise no one else can appreciate it, kind of sad lol.
 
The patch is due to be released after lunch time in sweden today , it hasn't actually gone live yet so that's why you won't be able to download it. :)

Much longer 'one shot' range (20m+ a lot more with MGM AM) compared to the 3-8 of the M24/GOL. Does 98.8 damage at long ranges (50m+) with MGM, combined with the M3R you mow people down very easily.

Also it's bullet drop is a lot less, makes headshots easier at great ranges.

GOL handles very well though, seems to put rounds through skulls like no-ones business! Got my +297 Marksman Bonus with a GOL.

Depends entirely on the map/squad is question but I prefer the M95.
 
Engineer is great fun also, although I think the first few machine guns are rediculously weak.

The first two guns for the Engineer actually have the highest damage output of all his SMGs, with the exception of the final unlock the UMP, which has the same damage.

Edit. And for the people who think the pistols are oddly powerful...they are. The 1911 does 34 damage at short range per round, and 25 damage at any other range. This is the same long range damage as the M14/M1 Garand, and is only bested by Sniper rifles.

I wouldn't say it makes them easier per-say, someone like me who is totally used to the bullet drop of a M24 and GOL, it's actually a lot harder :P Is that 98.8 damage a body shot? If so, any idea what the GOL / M24 would do at the same distance with MGM? (I'm assuming everyone has 100 health).

M24:

Short range <=8m: 100 Bodyshot, 325 Headshot, 125 Bodyshot with Magnum ammo, 406 Headshot with magnum ammo
Long Range >=25m: 75 Bodyshot, 244 Headshot, 94 Bodyshot MGA, 305 Headshot MGA.

GOL:

SR <=8m: Same as M24
LR >=25m: 70 BS, 228 HS, 88 BS MGA, 286 HS MGA

M95:

SR <=12m: 100 BS, 210 HS, 125 BS MGA, 262 HS MGA
LR >=40m: 79 BS, 166 HS, 99 BS MGA, 208 HS MGA
