This rolls out tomorrow, now am I the only one that hated this on the N64? I loved Goldeneye to nerdy heaven, but I just couldn't see past that it wasn't Bond :(

Aye, the first half of the title was a misnomer. It came out so much later and things had really moved on with other platforms plus as you say it wasn't Bond or anything approaching it.

I borrowed a friends n64 when i was about 14 and played this all through the night till about 7 am just hammering it with a mate. Can't wait for it!

I can't say as I cared for this one either. Loved Goldeneye though - if only they could make a good Bond game for the 360 :(

I really can't wait to play this :D

I'm awaiting the Halo gamer type people to complain about the control system though assuming it can be played in a similar fashion to the N64 original....

I wonder if Rare have added the camera functionality back in that was originally planned for the N64 hmmmmmm.......

it has original controls as well as a setup called duty calls, for the more modern setup

best buy some points to splash tonight then.
it wasnt bond but it had decent single player missions and the multiplayer was built on the solid core of goldeneye, we're getting all goldeneye guns in it.. and the best of the levels, all the game modes, perfect dark's quality soundtrack & an abundance of player models etc - its hardly a downgrade on goldeneye.

This to be honest

On paper this was so much better than Goldeneye but comes it's release you had the Dreamcast, and the PS2 wasn't far away either

Wasn't Perfect Dark Zero, everything and more than this is....? I don't get why people didn't like Zero but rave about this being rehashed!

Perfect Dark Zero was a load of rubbish mate, a seriously average (at best) FPS

Goldeneye on the other hand was just god like, as I'm sure Perfect Dark would have been had it not come out so late in the N64's life

I don't think Perfect Dark's lack of success was a timing issue afterall gameplay-wise it was Goldeneye and more, the whole storyline and atmosphere just sucked by comparison and the alien theme bored me rigid.

I still play PD occasionally - Went back to it last year and it's still got some charm in single-player. If the XBL version fixes the poor framerate and the ugly N64 blurriness, I'd expect it to be a fun little title.
